AUP Deadline Quickly Approaching For Schools: Act Now

Written by Aguiar Cabrera Maceo & Co., LLP | Apr 29, 2022 5:25:06 PM

With only a few more weeks left in the academic year, schools participating in the Step Up for Students Scholarship program often overlook a required step in the compliance process – the on-site “roll call” visit. As part of the reporting requirements, the program requires a state-approved CPA to physically review student attendance on-site. The visit must be completed before the end of the 2021-22 school year. The results of the on-site visit are part of the reports due by September 15, 2022.

If your school has not selected its CPA firm, now is the time to do so. Time is running out to select a firm and schedule an on-site visit.

How ACM CPAs help your school.

Aguiar Cabrera Maceo & Co., LLP (ACM) is honored to be on the approved CPA list for the Step Up for Students program. Our services are designed to help your school establish proper processes and procedures, as well as assist you with staying in compliance.

As a reminder, Florida schools receiving more than $250,000 in scholarship dollars this school year, from any one or combination of state scholarship funds, must submit the state’s required Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP) report by September 15, 2022. The state of Florida requires that the AUP report be submitted by a Florida CPA firm subject to a peer review under the AICPA standards and monitored by the FICPA.
